Thankfully, the armor you find in NG+ also scales. This makes all enemies much tougher, and sooner than later, Geralt's equipment will become too underpowered for these powered-up beasts.

However, NG+ scales with the level Geralt has by the end of your first playthrough. Not only does it make it easier for you to beat White Orchard much more quickly, but it will also make Geralt look like a badass right from the get-go. Having your late-game gear with you is a great way to start the game.
